It has been confirmed via Scout.com that RB P.J. Sparks of Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, AZ is set to visit UND this weekend.  He had 1007 yards and 14 TD’s his senior season along with a whopping 38 yards/kick return and 1 TD.

Sparks, 5’8″ – 190lbs, appears to have very good speed and is a low-to-the-ground runner making him hard to bring down.  Sparks has a tie to UND in that his Grandpa, Jim Wiedmann, played for the Sioux from 1968-1970.  Sparks visited SDSU and was offered by them but it appears UND must have contacted him late being he isn’t going to visit until this weekend.  Sparks is a Scout.com Two Star player.
