UND recently received their 22nd commit to the Class of 2016 when DB Torrey Hunt signed with them on Friday.  Hunt was most recently at the Naval Preparatory Academy, which allowed him to actually sign with UND and begin classes on campus this week.

Hunt, 6’0″-180, will be considered a true freshman and have five years to play four.

Even though he mostly played wide receiver in high school, Hunt is being projected as a cornerback, at least initially, at UND.  In his senior season at Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama, Hunt had 43 receptions for 746 yards and 7 TD’s.  At Navy Prep, Hunt had 15 catches for 405 yards and 3 TD’s.

On tape it is quite obvious that Hunt is an exceptional athlete.  He is very smooth in his running style and cutting.  Has good hips which should translate well to playing cornerback at the collegiate level.  The nice thing about getting Hunt is if they feel they need help at the wide receiver position he could easily flip over there and not need much time to acclimate.
