The early returns may be limited but they are definitely positive for new OL coach Joe Pawlak.

UND already has four commitments to the Class of 2020 and three of them are offensive lineman with the latest one coming from OL Andrew Fenton of Menomonie, WI.

Fenton stands 6’3″-260 and played mostly right tackle for the Mustangs but will also get a look at guard for the Hawks. Fenton does a nice job getting underneath and into defenders to win the leverage battle.  The Mustang staff liked to have him pull on counters, also, which showcased his footwork and open field blocking ability.

It’s easy to see the nasty streak in Fenton, which is always a necessity along the offensive line.

Fenton is also a standout wrestler for the Mustangs – going 43-10 at 285-heavyweight this season – finishing 2-2 at state wrestling meet.  In the opening round he lost to another UND football OL target, Bayport’s Max Meeuwsen, who went on to win the D1-285 state championship.

We would normally insert the Twitter announcement in this spot but Fenton doesn’t have a Twitter account.  I kinda like that.

An interesting tidbit we came across is that both Fenton’s parents are UND alums.  His brother, Alex, is an OL for the Wisconsin Badgers.
