We believe that UND has come very close to sweeping the board after last week’s recruiting weekend. The only visitor that we know of who has not committed is LB Keelan Poole of Grandview HS in Colorado. Keelan Poole has committed to UND.
This brings UND’s current recruiting class to 26 scholarship verbal commitments and 4 preferred walk-on commitments.
The following players committed to UND Football this past weekend:
- Iwarri Smith – S – Harrison HS, Farmington Hills, MI
- Bryce Blair – OT – Cherry Creek HS, Greenwood Village, CO
- Aidan Hartness – QB – Davies HS, Fargo, ND (PWO)
- Tristan Hartness – WR – Davies HS, Fargo, ND (PWO)
- Robert Hilton – DB – Rancho Verde HS, Moreno Valley, CA
- Keelan Poole – OLB – Grandview HS, Aurora, CO
Maybe it is us being hyper-sensitive based on the Momoh situation with Wyoming, but we are paying close attention to UND’s commitments in Michigan & Colorado this week. A school like Wyoming, who is obviously scrambling like crazy late in the process (based on their offers and locations they are recruiting in), is one to watch. They have offered a bunch of Michigan kids in the past week, basically trying to get any kid they can to fill out their recruiting class. Hopefully, UND’s relationship building and time they put in with their recruits, showing they truly wanted them at UND, will shine through.
Is it true that we only offered a partial to Momoh? That would seem strange considering the interest he has gotten.
Yes that is true. He had no other offers meaning there is no reason to offer a full scholarship.
Would UND consider increasing their offer to a full scholarship to entice him back, or would that be highly unlikely?
No. Good luck to the kid out in Laramie, good opportunity for him.
How many guys do you see pullin the redshirt and making an impact right away? Smith I assume, but anyone else?
Very early guesses:
Dulin
A. Smith
Greer or Engwall
T. Carter
Great job Bubba!! Is Decxavier Kelly Martin still a possibility? I liked his film. Him and Hanson from Canada would be a good way to close this out. Also will they still have visitors this weekend?
I think Decxavier blew up pretty big as the recruiting season on and we can see him end up at a pretty good FBS school. We believe they will still bring in 3-4 kids this weekend, possibly a couple scholarship kids and a couple walk-ons. Small group.
Little tidbit: Steve Greer was just offered by Indiana State. Something to watch for this week.
They better stay away from him. He’s built like a cinder block which is what we need.
I haven’t paid close attention to the recruiting season, sorry. Could you give me a grade ranking on how things are going? Thanks.
