As we were the first to report via Twitter yesterday, Harvey, ND product Tucker Nordby, a 6’6″ 235 pound TE/DE for Hornets Head Coach Brad Sandy, has given UND a verbal commitment to play football starting next fall. Nordby is a 2-time ND All-State selection at the TE spot and also is a talented basketball player for the Hornets.
Nordby caught 16 balls this season for 350 yards on offense and recorded 61 total tackles on defense for the Harvey team that finished 8-1 this season. His frame and body are very projectable and we expect him to be used as a TE at UND.
Nordby is the 7th known verbal commitment for the class of 2012 for UND.
