We are officially one week away from National Signing Day 2016. Next Wednesday, February 3rd, it will all become official and the committing and decommitting will finally come to an end.
UND appears to be going strong at the finish line. We currently count 23 commits, including Alex Cloyd, who is apparently still deciding between UND and SDSU.
UND picked up a commit yesterday when athlete Andre Randolph committed to the Fighting Hawks. Randolph had been committed to Army but decommitted after his visit to UND. He was a standout QB for the Bears, running the zone-read game extremely well and shows very good speed and quickness on tape. We project Randolph as a safety at UND but are definitely not ruling out quarterback if need be. UND does count on the QB running the ball in its offense and that is Randolph’s strength. He would be a project throwing the ball, but most QBs are at this level. The Indianapolis product from Lawrence Central High School also held an offer from Navy.
***As far as signing day goes, we were planning on taking some questions that morning after UND was through with the majority of their coaches interviews, etc. Areavoices has informed us that they are not quite ready for us to utilize ScribbleLive yet for a “Live Chat” like the Herald guys do, so it would have to be comment/answer. We are kind of bummed about that but we will be getting that function this summer.
***What are your thoughts on having a question and answer session sometime mid-morning on Wednesday? What time would work best, in your opinion?
It seems as if UND is pretty much done as far as this class goes. There may be one or 2 more additions if something were to fall through or someone has been kept off the radar, but right now it appears this could be the class.
