Being the media coverage out in Sacramento is fairly slim when it comes to the Hornets, we took it upon ourselves to preview this week’s tilt between UND and Sacramento State. A huge key to this game is whether Hornet QB Kevin Thomson plays or not. He was hit hard right between the numbers in the 1st quarter last week vs. SUU and was down on the turf for a good 5 minutes. He walked off pretty gingerly not moving his right arm and did not return to the game. Could be a shoulder or collar bone injury, who knows. The backup quarterback, Wyatt Clapper, came in and did pretty well – 15-33 for 246 yards and 1 TD.
