UND Football held their first Elite Camp this past Thursday and by all indications things went very well.  It was mentioned that this was by far the most talent they have had on campus, with around 200+ kids participating.

The following players are the one’s we seemed to hear about most lately:

Zach Willis – OL – West Fargo High School (ND) – Willis is a big bodied kid (6’4″-290) and plays with an aggressive edge to him, something that UND OL coach Luke Knauf cherishes.  Willis is the top target in the state of North Dakota and would be a big pickup for Bubba Schweigert and staff.   UND offered Willis in the spring.  Willis has since stated that he will announce his commitment on July 4th, 2016.  We presume it is down to UND, NDSU, & SDSU.

Jacob Powell – DE – Arrowhead High School (WI) – Powell is a bit undersized at DE (6’2″) but makes up for it with explosive play-making ability.  He reminds us a bit of current UND DE Brandon Dranka.  Powell recently received an offer from UND.

Noah Larson – LB – Baraboo High School (WI) – Larson has tested very well in combines over the past year and it showed.  He is bigger, rugged type of linebacker that can make plays sideline to sideline.

Josh Seltzner – OL – Columbus High School (WI) –  Big frame (6’4-290), good motor and feet.  Seltzner was also recently offered by UND, who signed two Wisconsin OL last year in Ryan Tobin and Noah Mortel to go along with current WI OL Dan Bell, Brandon Miller, and Adam Stiner.

Rourke Freeberg – SS – Desert Mountain HS (AZ).  High motor safety with some pretty good twitch to him.  Good size at 6’1″.  He will be one to watch this fall as we would expect other teams to come in once the season begins.
