The Class of 2019 is almost complete. At least the early version, that is.

Bubba Schweigert and staff will be hosting their first official recruiting weekend starting today.  They expect to have around 19 kids on visit, which is fairly large.

The reason for the large class, however, is that it’s mostly made up of current commits.  The weekend is unofficially termed the “Commitment Weekend”, where all the future Hawks can get together and hang out for a few days creating camaraderie.

That doesn’t mean it’s just current commits here this weekend, though.  We have also confirmed that CB/S Samuel-Salih Fort will be on his official visit.  Fort is a high priority for the staff being they lost Deion Harris to graduation and there is a need for high-end talent at the cornerback position.

We also have confirmed that Jackson Ritter will be in Grand Forks this weekend.  Ritter, 6’4-190, is an all-around athlete that we project as an outside linebacker in UND’s 3-4 scheme.

Early National Signing Day is set for December 19th, 2018.
