Now that that long holiday break is over, football programs around the country are getting back into full-time recruiting. The dead period ended yesterday and recruiting is essentially “on” until National Signing Day-February 3rd.
UND will host an official visit weekend today-Sunday. All indications point to UND only trying to garner commits from a couple more players before they are done. Then, comes the real fun: holding on to them until National Signing Day.
As is common practice these days, UND will need to re-recruit their commits for the next three weeks. We would not be surprised to see current commits receiving offers from other area FCS schools and possibly taking visits.
UND has recruited and found some good talent over the past couple cycles. Other schools in the region have their eyes on them as well. Even the verbals. The key now and in the future is hanging on to your verbal commitments until they can sign on the dotted line in early February.
Here are some of the names we have found that are visiting this weekend:
- Brett Finke (commit)
- Cameron Hunt (commit)
- Ben Bolinske (commit)
- Bennett Helgren (commit)
- Nathan Nguon (commit)
- Sean Russo – OL – Highlands Ranch, CO
- Alex Cloyd – (commit)
